CAPTURE YOUR HOLIDAY MEMORIES WITH BRILLIANT STUDIOS ONCE YOU HAVE ARRIVED IN THE TURKS & CAICOS, caught a glimpse of the world-class beaches and breathed in the warm, salty air, you can safely assume: you’re about to make some incredible memories, either with your family, friends or your other half. On returning home, there’s no souvenir that can capture your memories better than a por-trait session with a professional photographer, from the award-winning Turks & Caicos photo company Brilliant Studios. With 20 years of experience as photog-raphers here on Providenciales, we at the Brilliant team—David Gallardo and Anita Marcus—know a thing or two about portrait sessions. As one of the longest running photo studios on the island, we’ve pho-tographed everything from family portraits to secret proposals. And the result is something that families can cherish for generations. These aren’t the stiff, rigidly posed por-traits you’re imagining. What makes our company unique is our approach. Every ses-sion, our main goal is to create photographs that look as natural and effortless as possi-ble. We believe in having fun with our photoshoots—and we think it shows through our work. Your photographer can come straight to you at your resort, where you can spend an hour taking photos on the beach. Looking for a more varied shoot? You can choose to take a trip around the island, stopping at some of our favourite spots so you get a range of backgrounds. You can even arrange a boat trip, and bring a photographer along to document your day. Then there’s the next big question. What to wear? Try to plan your outfits so that they com-plement each other. That doesn’t mean you all have to wear the same thing, but it’s a good idea to keep a colour scheme in mind and stick to it. Bright colours are always fun, but avoid big logos as they can be distracting in photos. If you want to add a little extra to your photoshoot, we also work with stylists on the island who can help you look your best before you have your photo taken. But you know what always looks good in photographs? Celebrations. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Baby showers. Honeymoons. And even proposals. Yes, we’ve been known to help clients plan secret proposal photoshoots where we hide in the bushes, waiting for just the right moment to pop out and document one of the happiest moments in a couple’s lives. We’ve also been known to take our clients and our cameras into the ocean. Before we were portrait and wedding pho-tographers, we were scuba diving instruc-tors and underwater photographers. So if you’re the adventurous type and willing to get a little wet, you can arrange for a photo-shoot in the ocean to capture some incred-ible underwater and split shots—whether it’s a trash-the-dress shoot, or just because. So above all else, remember to have fun. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Happiness is beautiful, and if you let loose, smile and just remember to have a good time during your photoshoot, it will surely show in the finished product.
