Conch Pearls - Conch pearls are beautiful and extremely rare. The estimates are that only 1 in 10,000 conch produces a pearl, and less than 10 per cent of those pearls are gem quality. You can see island designed jewellery featuring conch pearls at Jai’s in The regent Village. Jai‘s will also create one-of-a-kind designs, for a truly spectacular gift for a loved one.

Ceramic Art - several galleries and boutiques on providenciales carry locally made ceramic works of art. Find an exquisite platter or bowl with an island theme to remind you of your vacation, or a whimsical pottery birdhouse that could easily fit the décor of your lakeside condo. our resident artists are inspired by the beauty around them, and their creativity seems unlimited. Decorative mosaic tiles, inspired coasters, mugs and plates are all easily wrapped so browse the galleries for that perfect gift.

Local Paintings - Like our ceramic artists, there are a variety of painters working in different genres. You can find traditional island style artwork and seascapes that prominently feature our beautiful white sand and turquoise water. Taking home an ocean view is a way of bringing the peace and tranquility you’ve found here, back to your home. There are also works of art that cover every imaginable subject and medium, by artists with large followings in the UK and North America. Enjoy browsing our galleries for just the right piece to give as a gift or treat yourself.

Photographs - We have many talented photographers who have captured the innate beauty and ‘feel’ of these islands and their works are available in our fine galleries. In addition to photographs printed on fine photo papers many of the artists print to canvas for a different texture. Photos can even be printed to ceramics. Ask about works from our photographers, framed and unframed. Canvas can be rolled for easy transport.

Wild Places by Kim Mortimer - A love of photography and her homeland brought Kim Mortimer to the idea of bringing out Wild Places of the Turks & Caicos Islands, a photographic book documenting the natural world of the Turks and Caicos Islands. Comprising stunning visuals of coastlines, cave systems, colonial architecture and wildlife, this makes an exquisite gift for those who enjoy nature at its tropical best.

Dolls by Cheryl Forbes - Cheryl Forbes creates charming Turks and Caicos dolls sporting different varieties of handsewn dresses, available at Paradise Arts Gallery. The white outfits with coloured stripes mark the Turks and Caicos national dress, characterised by a set of eight colours depicting a unique feature of each island.

Islander Ginger Beer

This refreshing local beverage, brewed from the original recipe, circa 1855, might be the perfect present for that someone for whom you can never find a gift. It’s light, tasty and available at the Graceway stores.

Conch Jewellery / Shells - The conch shell, on its own, is a rather unique gift and our ‘island doorstops’ have been spotted in homes around the world. If that’s a bit bulky, then choose jewellery, spoons, trivets and bowls made from the lustrous pink shell. They are locally made and a wide selection of these items are available in our island gift shops. The Turks and Caicos is one of the very few places in the world from which you can take conch and conch products. These amazing marine gastropods are endangered. But in the TCI conch are still harvested and exported for nine months of the year. Because they’re a very popular island delicacy, we have plenty of shells from which artisans create their wares. You must have a receipt to show to customs when you arrive home, to prove you haven’t taken a shell from a restricted jurisdiction.

Cuban Cigars - The artistry and quality of hand rolled Cuban cigars is worldrenowned, and crafted on island by the small team at The Cuban Cigar Factory in The Saltmills. Enjoy an extensive selection of cigars and accessories including humidors, lighters, cigar cutters and cases, for the most seasoned cigar aficionados.

Sea Sage Scarves - An elegant silk scarf is the perfect accessory to remind you of your vacation in paradise. Designer and local artist Amy Brown grew up on Sea Sage Hill Road, in Long Bay Hills,Providenciales. Amy always found herself at the beach with a camera in hand. Inspired by her travels and love of pattern, she created Sea Sage to present her unique photography in a distinctive and memorable way.

Hand Crafted Tree Ornaments Look for enchanting hand-painted glass Christmas tree ornaments and elegant hand crafted ceramic ornaments available year round at our art galleries and boutiques along Grace Bay. Bambarra Rum- Bambarra is blended from imported rums and bottled here in the TCI. It was named after the language of West African slaves from the wreck of the Spanish slaver, the Trouvadore, off East Caicos in 1841. There are several varieties of Bambarra, including the requisite Bambarra Coconut Rum. You can also find the immensely popular Bambarra Rum cake, our Islands’ most famous dessert. Bambarra T-shirts, key chains, shot glasses and more.

Konk Apparel - An iconic symbol of the Turks and Caicos Islands, the conch shell is a national staple of local food, jewellery, ornaments, and now, apparel, ranging from snapback caps to t-shirts, sunglasses and socks. A creative take on the word conch, Konk Apparel is a local brand housing seasonal creations available in stores dotted around the island, including at Blue in The Saltmills (www.konktci.com).

TCSPCA 2018 Calendar

This is a useful, attractive, inexpensive gift. It is also a vital fundraising project for the oldest animal rights organisation in the TCI. Easy to pack, and chock full of handsome, rescued animals, photographed in natural settings all over the TCI.

Mystical Seas Colouring Book

Island Kitchen

Sea salt caramels, “Handmade with love in the Turks & Caicos,” are addictive. Island Kitchen also makes a wonderful Caicos coconut crust for fish or conch, and a TCI jerk spice blend.

Barbecue & Hot Sauces

Crackpot Kitchen’s Chef Nik makes two delicious barbecue sauces - Tropical Tamarind and Tropical Guava. Available upstairs at Ports of Call.

TCI Coffee Roasters coffee is the preferred cup for many residents and savvy visitors. The finest Arabica beans are imported. There are several different blends available and the coffee beans are roasted right here on island, so you’re sure to find the flavour is fresh and delicious.

Sand Jewellery

Wellington Williams creates unique silver and beach sand bracelets and necklaces, sold in many galleries and boutiques on Providenciales and at the Grand Turk Cruise Center. His creations incorporate tiny shells, beach glass and other minute memories of your stay in paradise.

Gel Candles - Beautiful candles that last – these unique gel candles are created by local artist Benneth Williams in hand-etched glass bottles filled with brilliant gels and snippets of small shells and silken sand. You can even get custom etching to commemorate a birthday or wedding. Several shops in The Regent Village carry the candles and find them at The Fish Fry on Thursday evenings.

Salt Cay Salt - Salt was once the White Gold of the Turks & Caicos, bringing traders and currency to this tiny country. It is a large part of our history and heritage so it is the perfect gift to take with you when you return home. In addition to the table varieties, there are also salts for the bath and skin treatments. Check out the wide selection of items available and select something to treat the chef in your life, or maybe take home some bath salt to help you relax back in the real world.

Gift Certificates - Sometimes you just can’t figure out what to do for one of the special people on your list. That’s when a gift certificate comes in with five gold stars. Let your friend choose his or her own gift and you’ll be sure they get exactly what they want.
