Jenny, an office manager and shareholder at Carwash Services of the Southeast, and BJ, general manager of Oasis Express Carwashes in Georgia, met when Jenny was working as bartender at a local bar in downtown Flowery Branch, Georgia.

BJ would go several times a week with a friend to watch sports, although he confesses, “Let’s be honest, we were there for the alcohol and the pretty bartender!” BJ surreptitiously ended up getting Jenny’s phone and texted himself from it one of those nights, later replying with "Who is this?" He admits, “I even put my number in her phone as ‘Sweetie’ which gave it away. She thought that was pretty clever. We hit it off instantly and five years later we are in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands saying ‘I do!’”

The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding on a beach. “We started researching destinations that were not too far to fly and we came upon Turks and Caicos,” said Jenny. “We visited in February of 2017 to check it out and we instantly fell in love with the clear water, secluded beaches, and welcoming residents.”

Having decided upon Providenciales, they checked out venues and chose Mothershouse, a private villa, which is also where the entire bridal party stayed, making for a really fun atmosphere.

With the big day fast approaching, everyone was nervous to see hurricane Irma heading straight for TCI, followed by hurricane Maria two weeks later. Thankfully, Mothershouse wasn’t badly affected by either of the storms. After some clearing up by the hardworking villa staff, the festivities could go ahead as planned.

Guests came from Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Massachusetts – even as far away as London. They stayed at The Sands, Windsong and various nearby villas. Jenny and BJ had arranged for everyone to get together in the days before the wedding, so by the time the ceremony came around all of their guests were well acquainted with each other so the celebrations had a friendly, family, close-knit feel.

“We’d like to thank the Turks and Caicos Islands and our wedding team for taking us in and treating us like their own,” said Jenny. “The team did an amazing job with every detail to make our dream wedding come true. Thank you to Lynne Watts of NILA Destinations, Anita Marcus from Brilliant Studios, Mike Bell with Kissing Fish Catering, DJ Dayoh, and Jason Brake from Mothershouse, to name a few.”

“We’d also like to give a big thank you to our parents, who have supported us and loved us throughout these last five years we’ve been together.”

On reflection, they ended by saying, “We were so blessed to have so many people come down and we could be here all day thanking each individual person for coming and sharing this day with us!”

Congratulations, Jenny and BJ – we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
