GETTING HERE

Flying time from Miami to Providenciales via jet is approximately 80 minutes.

Various charters arrive weekly. International flights currently land on Providenciales (PLS) and regularly scheduled flights connect to the inhabited Islands. Many visitors arrive by private jet. Flights are available from the TCI to The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Haiti and Jamaica.

GETTING AROUND

We have no traffic lights, no traffic jams and no place to go in a hurry.

Car rental: You must be 23 or 25, depending on the rental agency.

Scooter rental: Anyone over 18 years old, holding a valid driving license from home, can rent a scooter.

Speed limit: 40 MPH (64 KM), 20 MPH (32 KM) through the settlements, 10MPH (16 KM) through school areas. Our traffic fines are impressive and can cost you up to $2,000 so please pay attention to your speed.

Rental insurance: Advised. There is a 12% tax added to each vehicle rental contract

GOING BEYOND

TCI Ferry: Departs from Walkin Marina, Leeward, several times a day, seven days a week to North Caicos, a 25 minute ride. The ferry departs twice a week to South Caicos, which takes 90 minutes.

Flights: Check for regularly scheduled flights between Providenciales, South Caicos, Grand Turk and Salt Cay. A passport or ID may be required for travel by air between islands within the TCI.

InterCaribbean flies five times daily to Grand Turk (GDT). To South Caicos (XSC) twice daily. They have acquired two Embraer 120s. These 30 seat, commuter airplanes connect you from Providenciales (PLS) to our sister islands. 1-649-946-4999.

Caicos Express flies twice a day from Providenciales to Salt Cay (SLX) on Monday and Friday, with one flight on Wednesday. 1-649-941-5730.
